Professional dance training across London and the South East.

Emma's Academy of Dance & Drama is the trading name of Emma Weir and was the original name for the schools and classes set up when it opened in 2005. Over the years however, some of the larger areas of the business have taken on their own brand identity (see Dance Train, Forever Wedding Dance etc) although they are still part of Emma's Academy. Below is an overview of some of the other projects under the Academy umbrella, either managed by Emma or by other professionals that work with her.

Classes for children and teenagers
Emma now teaches predominantly in adult education but several of the original academy classes are still continued in some form by teachers that have trained and / or worked with Emma in the past.

In Aldershot, Hampshire:

The Albany Dance Academy is still running on Friday evenings and you can find out information about this at www.facebook.com/albanydance

Emma's Aldershot Academy on Saturday mornings was taken over by Keely and Stacey Catt in 2011 and is now part of their wider business, see their website at www.fusiondanceacademies.com

In Hanwell, West London:

The Academy Freestyle and Street classes were incorporated into the programme offered by SA Dance, find them at www.sa-dance.co.uk
Workshops / Courses
Book Emma or one of the Academy freelancers for a one off workshop, taster day, special event or short course. Current and recent examples of such classes:

  • Running dance and Zumba classes for staff wellbeing at Homerton University Hospital.
  • Offering a ballroom dance taster day for the Silver Lining's Project.
For more information about classes that run throughout the year see the Adult dance classes in London page.
